EDIS B2B (EDI) Managed Services

EDIS Managed Service provides all the infrastructure, software and services needed for you to exchange mission critical data between trading partners in a timely and uninterrupted manner. Such solutions have historically only been available to enterprise sized businesses with large IT budgets. Features include:

- A Resilient 24 x 7 Messaging Service: To ensure the continual processing and transmission of mission critical data we have back up systems which go live in the event of the failure of any component of our systems. Including mirrored servers at multiple datacenters, multiple data communication links and stand by power generators.

- Back up data delivery service: In the event of the failure of your own systems or data communications to your network EDIS can switch to deliver your by data fax, or email.

- Advanced Data Routing: We can provide both simple message transmission between the networks of trading partners, or we can route your data to different destinations based on predefined business rules, message properties or the message content itself.

- Data translation and validation Services: We can translate the content and format of a message from one network so it can be interpreted by the recipient system. We can also validate the content of the message to ensure it meets with the mandatory needs of the recipient business or systems.

- Automated exception management: In the event of a system failure, or an issue in the processing of a message EDIS systems will automatically alert your team of the issue and we will work with you to fix it, so that you can keep the data moving.

- Automated Business Rules: Our system can apply your own business rules and processes to route and process your data,– to ensure we facilitate the best data process given your unique business requirements.

- Management Reports: We provide management with escalations and customised reports on data flows, repeat issues, unresolved exception reports and more.

- Connectors for ERP and Accounting Applications: Our system can be directly connected to ERP and accounting applications, or interface given the standard input(s)/output(s) of your application, an existing EDI software package or EDI connector.

- Helpdesk support and EDI advice: We operate a dedicated messaging helpdesk along with experienced B2B consultants who can advise you on the initial implementation and expansion of your system.


How the Process Works:

Your trading partner will send us an electronic message containing data from their system, which is in a different format to what you need to import the data into your internal systems. The message is routed and processed by EDIS hub and translated into the correct format for your internal systems, and then we ensure it is delivered and processed by your systems.

EDIS can implement such systems rapidly for companies involved in New Zealand and Australasian retail sectors, as we already connect to B2B systems of most major retailers and connect to most ERP and accounting packages. EDIS can also rapidly design and deploy systems to support one-to-one translations for two trading partners to exchange information electronically.
